FAQs
What can I do to stay safe on or near the water?
Here are some rules and guidelines:
" Oregon law requires at least one properly fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved Personal Floatation Device (PFD) for each person onboard a boat, including any persons being towed.
" The law also requires that children age 12 and under MUST wear their life jacket while a boat is underway.
" Swimming, diving and boating and alcohol DO NOT MIX!
" Keep a close eye on children. They are attracted to water. Each year, drownings happen in recreational areas, swimming pools and even bath tubs when children are not attended too.
