What is the Parents' Role in Keeping Young Drivers Safe?
Teen driving crashes are the leading cause of death for our nation's youth. As parents, you need to make driving safety a top priority. Devote at least 50 hours of practice driving with your teen. If you can't give that much time, enlist the help of a trusted adult. Your child is safest during the parent-supervised learning period and least safe the first six months of driving independently. Continued parental monitoring is critical. Click on the link below for more information on parental roles in teen driving.
